The mission of this Center is to study the development and functioning of institutions and to probe into the effects of institutions on behaviors and the feedback of behaviors on institutions, through the joint efforts of researchers from disciplines of economics, politics, law, information science and geographic information systems (GIS). Specifically, our research focuses on the mechanisms of various socio-economic institutions and further, aims to formulate schemes for institutional reforms.
