| 摘要/Abstract | 本文以美國職業籃球聯盟（National Basketball Association, NBA）之球賽入場觀眾人數來探討是否存在消費者種族歧視（Customerbased Discrimination）的問題。藉由2010-11與2011-12兩年球季的每場資料做為研究樣本，利用Tobit模型分析。在控制整體聯盟競爭程度、明星效果因素、假日等其他因素下，實證結果發現，黑人球員上場人數對觀眾人數為負向顯著，每減少一位黑人球員上場，可以吸引約22-31位觀眾進場，可以見得黑人球員在NBA的消費者歧視仍存在。而國際球員上場人數對觀眾人數則是負向顯著的影響，每減少一位國際球員上場，可以吸引約28-30位觀眾進場。另外，我們也發現明星球員及假日可以為球隊帶來更多的觀眾。此研究結果可供美國職業籃球聯盟日後球員選秀與場上調度安排上的參考依據。 This paper investigates the effects of customer discrimination on attendance by using National Basketball Association (NBA) match data. The micro data of game attendance provides comprehensive insights into the behavior of viewers. The results in the NBA show that black players and international players decrease attendance. Customer discrimination exists in the NBA. |
