語言不僅包含著該民族的歷史和文化背景，而且蘊藏著該民族對人生的看法、生活和思維的方式。由於語言文化和思維模式的不同，臺越二國的語言存在有些相同與相異。本文以語言與思維為主線，著重論述 中越語言之間互動。通過深刻分析語言中隱含的人文特徵，縱觀一些民族文化傳統，突出「語言—社會—文化」間的互動，探討語言結構、文化背景和思維模式之間的密切關系，比較中越語言與文化在交際語中的異同。一種語言在不同文化背景下，會產生其所特有的詞彙，而這些詞彙在另一種語言中是不存在的，或是不能直接用單純的翻譯替代的。語言與文化互相影響，互相作用；理解語言必須瞭解文化，理解文化必須瞭解語言。由於文化和語言上的差別。互相瞭解不是一件容易的事，不同文化間的交流常常遇到困難。在翻譯過程中不可忽略譯者的身份，他是溝通的橋梁，扮演很重要角色。因此，譯者的知識與常識，需要達到一定程度，才能完成這麼重大的任務。

Languages reflect not only their historical and cultural backgrounds but also the ways in which their speakers live and think. There are similarities and differences between Mandarin and Vietnamese due to their distinctive languages, cultures and ways of thinking. This paper aims to explore the interactions between Mandarin and Vietnamese in the domains of language and thinking. Similarities and differences of socializing languages in Mandarin and Vietnamese are compared through an in-depth analysis of humanistic characteristics and cultural traditions. This analysis emphasizes the interactions between languages, societies, and cultures, investigates structures of languages, and delves into connections between cultural backgrounds and ways of thinking. A given lexicon is produced due to its distinctive cultural background; however, it does not exist in another language, nor can it be directly translated. Languages and cultures influence each other; therefore, to understand a language requires an understanding of its culture, and vice versa. Due to linguistic and cultural differences, it is hard for people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds to understand each other. Communication gaps often occur. A translator plays an important role in bridging cross-cultural communication. Therefore, a translator’s knowledge and common sense are required to achieve such an important task.
