Asia-Pacific Research Forum is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed journal published by the Center for Asia-Pacific Area Studies, RCHSS, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. It is dedicated to advancing scholarly analyses of societies and cultures, especially new and emerging research issues in the Asia-Pacific region. The journal also publishes book reviews that offer in-depth critiques of monographs concerning Asian cultures and society. Submissions either in English or in Chinese are welcome from scholars in the disciplines of history, sociology, political science, economics, anthropology and others.

Submit your script or book review in a Microsoft Word format. The maximum length of a typical article in English is 10,000 words (1,500 words for a book review).

The cover page should contain the title of the paper, the name of the author, position, affiliation and contact information (including postal address, phone number and email address).

On the first page of the script, please print the title of the paper, an abstract within 150-200 words, and five keywords. The references, figures and tables should follow the main text. Acknowledgements should be placed on the first page.

The author must confirm that manuscript has not been and will not be submitted to any other journal while still under consideration for this journal, and that it has not been published previously, in part or in whole, in English or any other language.

By submitting a manuscript, the author agrees that the copyright for the article is transferred to the publisher if and when the article is accepted for publication. For that purpose the author needs to sign the Consent to Publish form which will be sent with the first proofs of the manuscript.

The Asia-Pacific Research Forum reserves the right to publish accepted papers in digital format via the website of the Center for Asia-Pacific Area Studies, from which open access can be provided.

Three complimentary copies of the journal and 20 offprints will be provided to authors.
