本文係孟子「梁惠王章句上」第一章的集釋及新詮，包括四個部份 ：( 一 ) 對趙岐丶朱子及焦循等三家註的選裁，作爲集釋 ；( 二 ) 就德川日本及李朝朝鮮儒者註孟之言論中，酌取其義理通達者，以爲他山之石 ；( 三 ) 作者之「札存」則就孟子本文或歷代註疏之有待疏解者，略作探討 ；( 四 ) 作者之「新詮」則取思想史之觀點，就孟子本文或歷代註疏之思想史涵義有所發揮。

The present paper is composed of collected commentaries on the Book of Mencius I : 1 and the author's new interpretations of it. The content of the paper is divided into four major categories, viz., ① a collection of selected commentaries of Chao Ch'i, Chu Hsi and Chiao Hsun on the Mencius I : 1; ② a section of commentaries on the Mencius written by Confucian scholars in the Tokugawa Japan and Yi Dynasty Korea; ③ the author's "random notes" pertinent to the text or commentaries of the Mencius; and ④ the author's "New Interpretations" that expounds the thought of Mencius or the com­mentators in traditional China, Tokugawa Japan or Yi Dynasty Korea in terms of intellectual history of East Asia.
