2025/12/03
In response to the rapid development of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI), and the increasing use of Generative AI or AI-assisted tools in research, the Journal of Social Sciences and Philosophy, with reference to the recommendations of general publishers, puts forth the following principles for the use of Generative AI and AI-assisted technology in writing, in order to implement and ensure the ethics and transparency of academic research. Authors are expected to comply with the following guidelines:
- Given that the content produced by Generative AI may currently contain inaccuracies, incompleteness, or bias, authors should independently verify their arguments to ensure accuracy.
- Generative AI and AI-assisted technology may only be used for copyediting and improving the readability of the manuscript; it must not be used for data analysis or to draw research conclusions. AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author, nor can AI be cited as an author.
- If authors use Generative AI or AI-assisted technology in the preparation of the manuscript, they must comply with the above principles, and disclose such use with a corresponding statement within the manuscript.
Furthermore, regardless of whether Generative AI and AI-assisted technology are used, authors remain fully responsible for the content of the manuscript.
