Statement Regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI)
2025/12/03
In response to the rapid development of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI), and the increasing use of Generative AI or AI-assisted tools in research, the Journal of Social Sciences and Philosophy, referencing the recommendations of Elsevier, puts forth the following principles for the use of Generative AI and AI-assisted technology in writing, in order to implement and ensure the ethics and transparency of academic research. Authors are requested to follow these guidelines:
- Given that the content produced by Generative AI may currently contain inaccuracies, incompleteness, or bias, authors are required to verify their arguments to ensure accuracy.
- Generative AI and AI-assisted technology can only be used for copyediting and improving the readability of the manuscript; it must not be used for data analysis or to draw research conclusions. AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author, nor can AI be cited as an author.
- If Generative AI and AI-assisted technology are used in the manuscript, the above principles must be followed, and a corresponding usage statement must be disclosed within the manuscript.
Furthermore, regardless of whether Generative AI and AI-assisted technology are used, the author assumes final responsibility for the manuscript.
