摘要/Abstract | 組織現象的瞭解與描述,從其縱深的角度思考,固然必須應用多重的時間序列;就其橫向思考而言,則必須同時兼顧同質與異質時間序列的運行與發展。時間理論在科學研究上曾經經歷兩次典範革命,每次革命都與組織的研究息息相關。本文將以時間序列爲主軸,先介紹浪漫主義及現代主義對傳統及當代組織理論的影響,然後再陳述後現代主義的思想演變,最後則爲後現代權力理論及組織效能的詮釋提供一個提示性的架構。 This paper contends that the understanding, description and explanation of organizational events requires the use of a plurality of chronological codes, including both heterogeneous as well as the homogeneous codes. Theories of time have passed through two paradigmatic evolutions in sciences, each of which is highly relevant to organizational studies. In what follows, I shall first by the chronological codes, take a brief scan of the influence of romanticism and modernism on traditional and current accounts of organization through the use of chronological codes. I shall then outline what I believe to be critical ingredients of postmodernism and offer a preliminary scaffold for a postmodern theory of power and efficiency in organizational processes. |
