摘要/Abstract | 組織結構的完形設計,目的在於透過「程序-結構」的交叉分析,試圖將當前的組織系統論,帶到一個更加完美的地步。基本上,它不但着重於結構形態的描述,而且也強調於變數的含蓋面向和解釋能力的提升。認爲:程序固然發生於結構之中,但更會穿越結構,而帶動結構的互動、互賴與形變。到目前爲止,無論是系統組織論,抑或是權變硏究法的組織理論,雖然都具有多元的面向和動態的觀點,但是在技術、結構、工作,和環境之間,卻都未曾提及另一個穿針引線的「程序」變數,而此一程序變數,正是本文強調的重心所在。「完形設計」中所提的各個分析架構與圖解,雖然仍屬提示性的,但從組織設計的角度而言,無論就方法論上,抑或是學理知識的累積上,未嘗不是一個前景看好的可行模式。 The concept of the Organizational Gestalts represents an attempt to take current systems-oriented organizational theory one step further. It goes somewhat further in searching not just for rich described types but for ones with predictive utility. Its characteristics are identified and analyzed, and a multi-dimensional process frameworks designed to fit all organizations is outlined. The model's contributions to our understanding of organizational structure and dynamic is indicated, as well as its potential usefulness to resolve many of the conflicts in the literature by showing how relationships among environmental, structure, process, and strategic variables vary systematically according to the type of Gestalt in question. |
