Position
The Center for Survey Research, Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences (RCHSS) in Academia Sinica, Taiwan is looking for motivated candidates specializing in survey methods, computational social science, text mining, and data science to join the Center. We are an interdisciplinary team of social scientists and data science researchers with the goal of integrating different research methods to advance understanding of human behaviors and social issues. We invite applications from outstanding candidates for the tenure-track position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Research Fellow level (equivalent to Assistant, Associate, or Full Professors, respectively, at university).
Qualification
Interested candidates should possess a doctoral degree from an academic institution accredited by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan or foreign equivalent, or be able to receive a doctoral degree by August 31, 2025. Please refer to Article 7, Article 8 or Article 9 of the Organization Regulations of the Research Institutes of Academia Sinica (https://www.sinica.edu.tw/en/CP/421) for the qualifications for Full, Associate and Assistant Research fellows.
Candidates with the ability to integrate survey and other cutting-edge methods in social science as well as a strong record of research accomplishments will receive priority consideration. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of humanities and social science theory and methodology and participate in interdisciplinary research in line with the medium- and long-term development of the RCHSS. Proficiency in Chinese language is not a prerequisite for application.
